How Great Thou Art..

'Then sings my soul my saviour God to thee, how great thou art, how great thou art...'
My best friend for the past nine years Kondwani Mwagomba is now a married man! He wed his sweetheart Beatrice Matanje today in Blantyre, Malawi. Ko, do you remember that conversation we had as we went past Blantyre Market on our way fom church? I still do, and I thank God for His promises are 'aye' and 'amen', and the Lord has shown His faithfulness yet again!!
In my life here in Örebro, God has shown His strength and might by sustaining me and helping me in my project. I will not forget yesterday in a long time! I seemed lost for a long time, and then there a way was shown to me miraculously! Afterwards it felt great to go on a 5.5 kilometre jog in the evening, watch James Bond(007) 'Golden Eye' and relax.
It is cold, rainy and dark today, yet it is a day Swedes are supposed to celebrate the coming in of summer.
Some people are born to encourage, inspire and to make a difference among mankind. I thank God for you 'Mayi a Shalom' for you are such a person.
My pal for 20 years 'Captain Kunde' called this morning from South Carolina, US, and he acted the silly old goat, pretending to be 'Mfede'!!! It was good to laugh and make noise at 6am.

Happy Birthday 'Masteni'

Happy Birthday to you Mom. You are 54 today and I thank God for your life and your ministry at home and at church as you help Sunday School kids and your fellow women in knowing the Lord better.
mayi
Mother, I appreciate your love, care and support to your children more especially me. In my daily struggles, many major illnesses and discouragements, God has used you to tell me to keep going..not to stop but to keep on keeping on. I thank you for your belief in my capabilities even when I have made queer decisions or strayed from the Lord altogether. It is encouraging and heart-warming to have someone so dear, who works every day to give a child confidence and renewed belief in God's wonders and miracles. We have come so far away indeed as you often say.
mom
Mayi, as we fondly call you, have a blessed day and simply enjoy everything. May God answer those three prayer requests today in Jesus' name. Amen.

Jesus Kristus Är Uppstanden!

Jesus Christ is risen! He is risen indeed. Brickebergskyrkan echoed with this great declaration on Easter Sunday, 27 March 2005. I said this in Chichewa, my home language and other foreigners too went on to the altar to say this too. And the band played on. The international group played during praise and worship led by the versatile Kevin Le Blanc, from New Brunswick, Canada. We had Sally on violin, Joachim on drums, Walt, Kevin and I on guitars, David on saxophone, Mark on bass, Bella on the piano, and the voices included Viendo, Ian, Julie, Pam, Callie and Christine.

So quite an ensemble there. We did well by the grace of God and all the
hassles of preparing were blown into nothingness.
What a hectic time are we having at the university. Classes ended a few weeks ago and we have to focus on our MA projects. Sleeping time has become 12 or 1am these days, we simply have to work like mad on our theses every day. May God help me, I need His grace.
I found out the other day that it is cheaper to buy a shaving machine than go for a shave at the barber parlours. So I went for a shaving machine and cut my hair using a mirror in my room. I hope I did a good job.

Before the shaving I was looking quite like a bushy shrub!
